Proofreader/Editor for eBook

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Proofreader/Editor to review and refine our upcoming eBook. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing and proofreading, an eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring clarity and coherence in written content. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can enhance the readability and quality of our eBook, making it engaging and error-free.

Responsibilities:

Proofreading:
Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors.
Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting throughout the eBook.
Verify the accuracy of facts, figures, and references and supplying images

Editing:
Improve sentence structure, clarity, and overall readability.
Suggest revisions for better flow and coherence of the content.
Ensure the eBook aligns with the brand’s voice and messaging guidelines.

Feedback and Collaboration:
Provide constructive feedback to enhance content quality.
Collaborate with the author to implement suggested changes.
Meet deadlines and manage revisions promptly.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a proofreader or editor, preferably with eBook or manuscript editing.
Exceptional command of English, with excellent grammar and language skills.
Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to editing.
Familiarity with style guides and publishing standards.
Proficient in using editing tools and software.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
