One 500-Word Story With Illustration Suggestions

Hi, my name is Alex and, I have a ton of regular work and I'm looking for some exceptional (native English speakers ONLY) creative writers that are willing to join a team of exceptional creatives in taking on various children's fictional writing tasks; scripts, stories, poems etc. This first task is a test project, and will essentially be your 'writing audition'. Now, we have standard rates, which are as follow:

£20.50 per 500 words
£41.00 per 1,000 words
£82.00 per 2,000 words
£205 per 5,000 words
etc.

Rhyming stories and poems are paid at double this rate as we only work with writers with perfect beat, cadence and rhyming patterns.

Most of our projects fall between 500-5,000 words, as even when we take on larger projects, these are broken down into 5,000-word milestones.

For this particular project, I am looking for a writer to write a 500-word children's story split over 26 pages, with 500 words of illustration descriptions. As this is 1,000 words, this is paid at our standard rate of £41 per 1,000 words. So you know what you are auditioning for, I have attached a sample of the kind of thing that we are looking for. It sounds complex, but after you've done a couple of these, you'll realise that they're actually rather easy to write. Again, PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SAMPLE. (Note: This does not need to be delivered in a table format as is shown on the attached document.)

I will release more details of the specific brief with the chosen writer, however, this project is a test project. I am looking for someone with exceptional creative writing skills and imagination, who will proofread their own work before sending it over, and can deliver a project of this size within no more than three days. The writer must be able to follow a specified brief and write for various age ranges (3-5: easy language, non-complex stories, 5-8: more complex language, a little more complexity to the stories, 8-12: children this age are now onto chapter books, so this is your general 'children's writing' - think David Walliams etc.) Just so I know you've read this, please insert the word 'pickles' into your application.
