Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
New blog seeks WordPress-experienced contributors for short posts on topics related to literature and the book/ebook industry.
Reports of recent news in the literary sphere, or original commentary on digital vs. print publishing, for example, would work well. If you're a bookworm or have an interest in publishing or bookselling, you'll probably enjoy this job!
Please only apply if you can commit to contributing 2 or more posts per week on an ongoing basis.
Our budget is £25 per post of 250+ words. We're looking for high quality work that requires little editing, from writers who know how to make their posts engaging to the audience.
To apply, submit a proposal for 2 posts of 250+ words each and outline the two stories you intend to write. Give the URL of a Creative Commons image you think is suitable to accompany each idea.
Please also include the following in your proposal:
1) Links to at least 2 published blog posts you have written (on any topic - these are just to assess your writing quality)
2) The number of blog posts you'd like to contribute per week
3) The word custard on the first line of your proposal message
4) How long you expect it will take you to research, write and edit one blog post at 250+ words
5) A short bio of who you are and what experience you have
Shortlisted candidates will have their proposal accepted and will be asked to submit their 2 stories before Friday 7th December. If this paid trial goes well, then we will ask you to submit your proposed stories for the second week and make you a staff writer.
Please read this whole ad carefully before applying. If you miss anything out that we've asked for, we won't be able to hire you!
