Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
Num. of words: 650
Topic: Systemic Functional Linguistics
Tone: Other
Outline & Structure: Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me because I'm absolutely desperate.
I have two plain English texts, each between 650-700 words, which I need analysing by someone experienced in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). I've double-spaced the texts and highlighted the processes (verbs)... but I still can't get my head around the clause boundaries! This is for an important research project but unfortunately I cannot grasp SFL AT ALL.
All I need is the clause boundaries (including any embedded or interrupting clauses) inserted in the appropriate places in the two texts. For someone with a knowledge of SFL and grammar, this should not take long at all! It's just all the embedded and interrupting clauses that are ruining my analysis of the texts.
PLEASE do not apply if you have not studied Systemic Functional Linguistics before. I would prefer linguistics graduates for this reason, though if you don't possess a degree but can prove your SFL knowledge, please feel free to apply!
I am offering £20 (i.e. £10 for each text) – as I said, if you know what you're doing this shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes at the absolute max!
Extensive research needed: no
