Information for the blog/website: We run a tech website with news content and hosting reviews. We're looking for a couple of dedicated writers with EXCELLENT English language skills to write content on a monthly basis (ad hoc). We publish latest news from the tech sector - this includes anything from venture funding and quarterly reports to Google updates and acquisitions.

Outline & Structure: Short paragraphs, compelling copy, avoid the first person, be objective, link to sources.

We're not worried about injecting a bit of analysis into a piece, however we do like well-rounded posts that don't merely report the news but add a bit of context eg highlighting that a startup has attracted funding is the news but detailing its history, previous funding rounds and its business model is the context.

We don't want 'SEO writers' - we're both developers with backgrounds in digital marketing.

Extra notes: If we offer you a freelance opportunity then your profile will need to be added to our website. This consists of an image, a short bio with your first and last name and optionally a link to your social profile. If this is a problem for you then please don't apply.

Content - 400 words minimum - will be the extent of your responsibility; we'll source all accompanying imagery, we'll upload the content to the website and we'll deal with meta data.

If the relationship goes we'll almost certainly look at expanding your workload (if you have the capacity) - we're currently looking for additional support to assist in the creation of online promotional materials.
