Freelance Content Writer – Social Care Sector

Our care homes support adults with complex behaviours, and your role will involve developing narratives that reflect their unique strengths, challenges, and experiences with sensitivity and respect. This includes conducting research, holding interviews, and transforming everyday experiences into inspiring stories that underscore our commitment to excellence in social care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Story Development Creating compelling, evidence-based stories about our residents, focusing on how our support has positively transformed their lives. For team members, create narratives that highlight their path into complex care, the challenges they've overcome, and their dedication to advocating for this vital sector.
• Data Collection: Extract relevant information from our digital system to inform your storytelling.
• Engagement Visits: Occasionally visit our care homes to build connections with residents and staff, enhancing your understanding of their stories.
• Interviews: Conduct interviews with residents, families, and team members to capture their stories authentically.
• Proven Content Portfolio: Showcase a portfolio of previous work that demonstrates your ability to create engaging, empathetic, and professional content.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a content writer, ideally within social care, healthcare, or similar sectors.
• Exceptional storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to write for diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills for conducting interviews and building rapport with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to analyse data from digital sources and translate it into meaningful narratives.
• Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Flexible availability to make on-site visits to care homes as required.
