Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Hi, my name is Adam Giles and I am the Editor for an eLearning company.
You can work at home, or where ever you like, as long as the work is finished by an agreed deadline. We are looking to build long-term relationships with our writers. Jane Crockett is our other Editor and she is well known on this site.
The Job:
English as a Foreign Language short course
-You will write an ‘English as a Foreign Language / English as a Second Language’ course.
-This will be an eLearning course.
-The course will be targeted at intermediate level.
-The learner will already know basic English.
The Course
-The course will comprise of 20 tutorials.
-We will send the learner one tutorial a day for 20 days.
The Tutorials
-Each tutorial will last approximately 5 minutes.
-Each tutorial should have a brief introduction (less than 8 sentences, average 3 to 4).
-The introduction will be page 1 of the tutorial. We will cut and paste the information you send us into our standard ‘short page’.
-Each of our standard ‘short pages’ has a ‘Next’ button at the bottom to move onto the next page.
-The tutorial will therefore consist of several short pages, logically progressing one after the other.
-Each page after the introduction should contain content with an exercise.
-Exercises are placed below the content on the page (we will cut and paste this).
-For example: Exercises would include a quiz with a multiple choice answer, or a fill in the missing word task. You will provide these exercises.
-We will build/program any functionalities required for the exercises.
Learning
-We require the content to be subtly repeated.
-For example: Content on day one would be repeated on day three, but only briefly. Day three will have its own content too.
-The purpose of the repeat is to help the learner remember the content better.
-It should also motivate them to continue because they will realise that they know that content.
