Website development project

I am looking for an experienced and competent web developer to help develop a new version of my main website. I am already working with a graphic designer on the actual design side of things and have some web development experience myself but I now need to start taking this project forward more rapidly.

Initially you will be working on prototyping several different web pages - which eventually will become templates for the rest of the site. You will also help establish the feasibility of certain design elements - eg the site navigation.

You will be using HTML, CMS, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX and MYSQL. You must therefore be fully competent in each of these areas. The existing site is UNIX based and uses each of these in its makeup.

You should also have an excellent understanding of Wordpress from a development perspective as the current website uses Wordpress for some (but not all) of its pages. And as part of this project, a Wordpress theme will have to be developed for the site.

Excellent communication skills (in English) is a mandatory requirement as is proven technical ability in the areas listed above. Attention to detail and an ability to produce high quality work quickly is also vital.

The current site has approximately 400 different pages. Assuming your initial work is of a high enough standard you will then be leading the work implementing the new version site. You will then also have the opportunity to help maintain the site once live.
