Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hello!
I am looking for a web developer who:
- is fluent in Squarespace (& can show me a portfolio of sites)
- can populate and set up websites quickly (usually within 4 weeks - I can send you examples but they are simple sites with home page, about, contact (with acuity or similar embedded for appointments), appointment types, blog;
- can work closely with me to take design direction (even though most will be based on template styles, there may be some customisation)
- be available to answer questions and get back to me promptly (e.g. within a working day)
- can give a couple of hours tuition (via skype) to my clients to help them learn how to manage their sites (e.g. add blog posts)
- can be in direct contact with my clients for technical support during the project (e.g. helping them set up their email, social media links, blog, trouble-shooting, domain name transfer etc.)
I promise to:
- supply a clear brief as approved by the client (so if they want changes after it's designed, we can charge them for additional time if necessary).
- supply all the assets, including font styles, colours, images, template
- help liaise with my client so they supply you with content (if they do not get the content in time, we would deliver the template with dummy copy and let them add in the copy when they are ready)
- help test the site, manage the number of changes a client makes
- be available for any questions and get back to you promptly.
- make it clear to the client you are not an on-call IT support - that tech support ends once everything is set up and the site approved.
A bit about me:
I have been in design and branding for the last 25 years and have recently specialised in creating brands and websites for nutritional therapists and other healthcare practitioners.
This business has taken off in the last few months and I am getting between 2 and 3 new clients a month. Up until now, I have been building the websites myself, but I no longer have the time to do this. I would like to pass on the technical (web development) aspect of my package to someone who is an expert and loves working in Squarespace.
Some clients may require a bit more hand-holding than others so you must be someone who can be patient with the more technically-challenged and talk them through things like connecting their email through G-Suite etc.
Bonus if you also know Wordpress and coding etc. Some of my clients already have Wordpress sites they simply need updating, some want functionality that Squarespace does not cover. Also if you have other design skills e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator so you can create the right formats of logos / images that clients may provide in order to upload to the site.
Note that the budget is an estimate and if you prefer to work on an hourly basis, or want to propose a different budget we can arrange that.
Thanks for reading this far!
Best,
Leslie
