Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: We are an online retailer
Description of requirements/features: We have noticed that our customers cannot login to Magento; the login page works and then when they have entered their details and hit enter they get a blank page. This then locks them out of all pages related to our website until the session files are cleared. We know this is a php fatal error but that is where we run out of ideas.
We have also noticed that the Magento auto email confirmations have changed simultaneously with this (we will send upon job approval but basically the order details are not being pulled through):
The error is: Fatal error: Call to a member function getOrder() on null in /disk1/vhosts/ourwebsiteURL/httpdocs/app/code/core/Mage/Sales/Block/Order/Totals.php on line 67
We have ran the following - (please see notes for output):
http://dev.ourwebsiteURL/magento-cleanup.php
http://ourwebsiteURL/magento-check.php
File permissions appear correct etc; when we turn on error logging we get a 500 error.
The only thing to happen around the date we noticed the issue was the installation of Shiptheory; we have disabled and removed the plugin to no success so it must have been a coincidence and Shiptheory does not affect this area of the site.
Extra notes: Magento Cleanup Details:

It seems some file have been deleted.
Apart from Shiptheory, was there other work done on the site?
The two issues seems unrelated
i. Login files
ii. Email files
iii. Do you have a timeline
