Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
My business is opearting walking tours and Treasure Hunt events.
Project 1: My web site www.londonpremierwalkingtours.co.uk is running on an old version of Joomla and has a number of problems and issues, some of which are probably me not using the Content management System correctly and some that are maybe down to it being an old version of Joomla. Hopefully you can help me to fix these problems.
I also would like to increase the number of main events boxes that you can see at the top of the page from 4 to maybe 16, filling most of the home page, as at the moment I am having to put multiple events under some of the individual boxes.
There are a few other bits and pieces things too that I just don't know how to access as I have never learned how to use the content management system very well.
Also with www.londonpremierwalkingtours.co.uk when I first had the site built I decided to sell tickets that were flexible in terms of the date that they can be used on, so there is no bookings calendar within the e-commerce area. After I receive a booking the buyer receives a booking confirmation with no specific event or date of event on it and I then email them again manually and ask them which event and date they would like.
I would like to add a bookings calendar but don't know how to do so. There are some 3rd party bookings calendar software providers such as Booking Hound http://www.bookinghound.com/ that I believe can be integrated into my web site but I do not know how I would do this. They charge a per transaction fee also, so perhaps you know how to add a bookings calendar without having to use 3rd party software meaning I can avoid paying them transaction fees.
My London Underground Treasure Hunt event has become my most popular so my 2nd project is to have a dedicated e-commerce web site for it with a new web site name that fits the event, so the 2nd project is to build a new web site for this.
I could give you a lot more detail on all of the above but I first wanted to give a general overview and to see if both projects are within your scope and to get some general idea of the costs involved and the time scale for completion.
Thank you for reading and if you could please come back to me that would be great.
Kind regards,
Cliff
