Ministry of Thrift would like to develop a mobile website based on our ‘Money Suite’ phone app concept.
Our aims to:
• Deliver a comprehensive money management mobile website for the voluntary/charity sector
• Improve on the user experience that is currently available
• Make money management as easy as possible bearing in mind natural human inertia
• Produce an mobile website that is highly functional, simple to use and attractive
• Ultimately support those who are finding the current economic situation difficult as they are already on low incomes and likely to be subject to benefit cuts and reductions.
Kindly note that at this stage we are proceeding slowly, looking for proposals and advice with a view to commence the work in about 6 weeks if approved.
The Ministry of Thrift Money Suite
The proposed mobile website has 6 modules or mini websites, contained within it covering the key money management functions, including an information module regarding Universal Credit, sign posting information and social collaboration integration. A brief summary of the modules is as follows:
Module 1 Universal Credit- Benefits Info
Receive information concerning Universal Credit, seek access to banking/credit union facilities, complete a payment form to landlord, request additional money management assistance

Module 2 Money Patterns
Provides guidance on changes in income patterns e.g. Universal Credit or moving from benefits into work. It will calculate estimated average figures to help people readjust spending patterns
Develop web based tool which calculates a guided weekly spend.
Module 3 Money In and Out
• Allows user to input income and expenditure with ‘bill alerter’ which includes an email to user. (Is sms possible and at what additional cost)
Required
-user to input data which can be stored in the cloud
-email reminders
- possible ability to send sms depending on cost
- ability to collate anonymous reports on input
Module 4 Spend Less
Allows user to set budgets, reduce spending by specific amounts, make shopping lists, add and request deals which are shared with other users. (linked to another webtool)

-Develop a budgeting tool daily, weekly, monthly
-Ability to create shopping list
-Develop – deal user pages
-users can post text
-users can post pictures
- users can share with other users
-new posts appear on top
Module 5 Save More (Collaborative social tool)
A goal setting module to encourage users to save for items. Goals can be shared with other users.
Develop social accountability tool (similar to My fitness pal)
Module 6 Get More Help
A signposting service directing people to key sources of help e.g. debt, illegal money lending and providing a mobile web version of the Ministry of Thrift Money Tool Box which provides helpful links to a wide variety of money issues.

Full control of site/coding required. To be hosted with Ministry of Thrift

We have our own graphic designer who would be responsible for branding and main design but we would require the developer to help us create an appropriate design/format for a mobile website which is new to us
