Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am working on a project that is a 1 page html template that ultimately will be slotted into an existing Wordpress site.
With a revised header, navigation and footer, this will update all the pages on the website, whilst keeping the current content sandwiched in the middle as is.
The 1 template I am working on is a new Home Page in design and content, which is totally new html and CSS.
I've created this page already, with dropdown menu and fluid responsive layouts. It all works great apart from a couple of things - which is what I need some assistance on!
- Adding a Search field/submit box to the header that slots around my existing html. I have a PSD design for this, just haven't implemented.
- the navigation dropdown code I have used from an online CodePen example has a problem on my template (but not on the original CodePen!) - when I scroll down the page on a mobile the nav loses focus and just dissapears. It's quite a long nav, and so the user will likely need to scroll up and down it.
All of this will be sent to a short-list for the job, then you will be better placed to cost I think.
I can send you the html I've created so far, the CodePen example, and my PSD or JPG visuals.
I don't need anything more than the static html updating for this piece.
This phase is separate to the Wordpress integration phase, I want to get this part correct initially.
Thanks for your time.
