Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Directory website
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of requirements/features: We have a directory site based on theme https://themeforest.net/item/foundation-directory-listings-drupal-8-theme/18265589 . We have made a lot of changes on it.
We have overwitten the category page http://preview.themeforest.net/item/foundation-directory-listings-drupal-8-theme/full_screen_preview/18265589?_ga=2.250645120.766094445.1515022742-2137827260.1504611724 with a view.
In the view we have added exposed filter criteria.
In the directory we have 2 taxnomies one is the basic taxonomy with subcategories (category 1 -> subcategory 1a, subcatoegory 1b, category 2 -> subcategory 2a, subcatogory 2b) the second is a general category. A listing can belong to multiple general categories with no restriction. The 2 taxonomies are not related in any way.
In the views exposed filters we want to add the subcategy dropdown select. But we want in the dropdown to be only the subgategories of the category shown. For example if we are at the category 1 page we only want to have subcategory 1a and subcategory 1b in the dropdown.
We also want to have onother exposed filter with the second taxonomy. Dropdown as well. In this one we want to show only the taxonomy terms that have results in this category. For example if we are in the page on category 1 we want to show in the dropdown only the general category terms that the listings of the category 1 have.
Specific technologies required: PHP, Drupal 8
