Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
We are looking to redevelop our website for our finance brokerage business. Outline as follows:
Homepage, I would like it to be similar to the homepage of amazon - I would like a search bar at the top header which allows users to type a search query which would then search internal content on our website only - they should not be sent to google search for example as this would take them away from our website - so if they search for "print finance" it will bring the print finance page up as an option for them. This header (and consequently the search bar) should appear on whatever sub page the visitor goes to. In this header should also be our logo and business name, and our phone number, both of which should follow the user on the mobile and standard website version as visitors scroll up and down. The phone number should allow a click to call function.
Our header should include a selection of menu option at the very top, separate from the logo and phone number bit - these would be:
- Finance Products (allows drop down)
- Industry Types (allows drop down)
- Asset Types (allows drop down)
- Case Studies (takes to Case Study page)
- News ( takes us to a News/Blog page)
- About Us (takes to About Us page)
- Contacts Us (takes to Contact Us page)
With the "finance products", "industry types" and "asset types" - from each of these we will then need to be able to create unlimited sub pages that can include "print", "haulage","construction" for example, under the "industry types" button, and "Cars", "engineering machinery", "coaches", "Horseboxes", etc under the "asset types" drop down. I would imagine possibly 20 to 30 drop down options to be available from each of these drop downs - we can then create content pages per industry or asset type which we can then utilize for PPC as necessary - each of these sub pages will have the same general format
Below the header - like on the Amazon website - should be an image banner with 5 revolving images - they should be shorter in height than we have on our current website and similar in height to those on the Amazon website - each of these will feature an image and text that relates to a different product, these would be "Asset Finance", "VAT Loans", "Business Loans", "Car Finance", "Invoice Finance". Each image should allow a clickthru option to take the visitor to the relevant product page.
Immediately below that would be (as with the Amazon site) each of these five products appearing all in a line in boxes using a narrower version of the revolving image. Each of these should allow a clickthru to take the visitor to the relevant web page - ideally I would also like the ability for a webvideo to appear in these box that the visitor could also click (as you can see on the Amazon website).
Below this should be a inquiry form, "Get a quote in 60 seconds" with the phone number option also showing) and then perhaps a two stage form would be good with two fields on the first form, Business Name and Amount to borrow (with a free form option) and once they have clicked submit, it goes to a second form where we ask for Name, Email and Phone number, and when they click submit they receive a message advising we will call them back.
After this we should have the footer which should include links to other important, but not sales related pages, such as
Policies & Security
Privacy Policy
Cookie Policy
Security
Complaints Procedure
Adequate Explanations
It should also allow us to add our Trade Association logos
This overall homepage structure I think gives a good outline of how the website should look and function. On all the "non-homepage pages" we can fill with Lorem ipsum script as we will curate content for all the pages.
All other pages will follow an identical structure with just the relevant text and images being different - all pages should have the quote webform on them to enable ease of getting a quote from whatever page the visitor is on.

Chris, do you have reference website link ? would you please let us know in which technology you want to build the site? Also would you like to go with ready made theme or you want to design it from scratch ? Which payment gateway do you want to integrate ?
Awaiting your response.
