Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We have a web site that was developed some 4 years ago using Java scripting and code that we want to transform into a more standard platform so that it allows us to make necessary updates without having to recode each time. The current site was originally built when the company was much smaller and wanted a simply CMS to manage it. A bespoke solution was built for us then that is no longer suitable for our needs and restricts us in our capabilities.
Because the current site is coded using Java and does not use (what I would term as) standard protocols such as htm, aspx, php etc we are not able to add pages or features without significant coding changes. We are working towards a complete revamp of the web site but that is at least 12 months away so in the interim I would like to “standardise” the site by recreating it in a more manageable platform.
Whilst it would be good to have the new site supported by a CMS solution it is not essential as long as some standard HTML editors (or similar) can be used to administer for the time being (e.g. MS Web essentials) but if Drupal or similar can be used then happy to consider.
If you think you have the skills to recreate our site using standard protocols and can give us a manageable site that we can work with please get in touch. We are happy to consider all technologies. Key things are that we are looking for is to do this with minimum fuss, we get a replica of what we have already but that allows us to build on and most important that we work with someone that understands what it is we want to achieve, has a flexible and logical approach and can work closely with us to achieve our needs.
current site is www.baringa.com
I look forward to hearing from you.
