Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need someone who can edit a short video (currently 6 minutes of footage to be culled down to a bit less than that), which I will upload to Youtube and share to twitter on behalf of the organisation I work for, the Development Policy Centre, which is located at the Australian National University (ANU).
The video would be an edited version of a Zoom conference with some students from the University of Papua New Guinea who have been taught by ANU lecturers as part of an aid project. The purpose of the video is to be shared on twitter and Youtube as a bite-sized way of promoting some of the good work and good results that the project is doing, in the words of the students who were taught as part of the project.
I have already culled the hour long Zoom to about 6 minutes, and put the clips in largely an order that I think works - but I now want someone to add a bit of fine tuning, feel free to cull and rearrange further, tell the story in video better than I can.
What I have in my head is the video-journalism you sometimes see on news websites these days, a few minutes long, telling an interesting story, perhaps a few sentences describing what is happening. Or not. I'm not the pro, so happy to take your suggestions.
A link to the Zoom call as I've edited so far is here: (I think a natural end point is at 5:17, but I've just added some extra clips if they could be of use)."https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KsKQdOybfVXwMwipIUdz6SAxqyL7QMc3/view?usp=sharing".
Secondly, I would also like a short intro screen with the logo of the Development Policy Centre (the orange "Devpolicy" image you can see on this website: https://devpolicy.org/) against a black or white background. (A cool little stock animation and sound effect would be great - i.e. similar to those found in a TED talk video or "Big Think" video. [Big Think channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvQECJukTDE2i6aCoMnS-Vg].
A link to an illustrator file for the organisation logo is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1atEdoWZyTYnBZ1xT7yXu1qa6C-m4Csoo/view?usp=sharing
If you could provide around three example animations and three example sounds for me to choose from that would be great.
It doesn't need to be super schmick, but it should get the story across and have edits that are not offputting.
If you think you can offer something special please let me know.
Would be great to start off with a Zoom/Skype conversation and go from there, if you could link to your portfolio that would be great too.
Thanks,
Rohan
