Long-Form to Short-Form Video Editor (Reels, Shorts & TikTok)

We are looking for a skilled video editor to join our team on a long-term basis.

Your role will be to take short-form clips extracted from long-form YouTube videos and turn them into highly engaging content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This is a long-term position with consistent monthly work.

Responsibilities
Edit 60 short-form videos per month
Create engaging videos ranging from 30–60 seconds
Improve pacing and retention through strong editing
Add professional captions and text overlays
Integrate relevant B-roll footage when appropriate
Use light motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement
Apply sound effects and audio enhancements
Perform basic color correction and color grading
Deliver content on time and communicate effectively
Requirements

✅ Experience editing Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

✅ Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention

✅ Excellent cutting and trimming skills

✅ Professional captions and text animations

✅ B-roll integration and light motion graphics

✅ Sound design and sound effect implementation

✅ Basic color correction and color grading

✅ Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred)

✅ Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

✅ Open to feedback and revisions

Bonus Qualifications

⭐ Portfolio containing viral short-form content (10K+ views or more)

⭐ Understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms

⭐ Experience working with creators, personal brands, or business content

⭐ Ability to identify what makes a clip engaging and shareable

⭐ Experience extracting viral moments from long-form videos

About Viral Clip Selection

We strongly prefer editors who already understand how to identify and extract viral moments from long-form content.

However, if you are a strong editor and do not yet have experience with clip selection, that's okay. We have an internal process and will teach you how to identify high-retention and viral-worthy clips over time.

Trial Task

Shortlisted candidates will be provided with a short-form video that was originally created from a long-form video.

Your task will be to edit the clip in your own style while maintaining the core message. We will evaluate:

Editing quality
Pacing and retention techniques
Caption design
Sound effects and audio enhancement
Motion graphics usage
Color grading
Overall creativity and attention to detail

This sample helps us assess your editing skills and determine whether your style is a good fit for our content.

Compensation
$350–$450/month depending on experience and quality
