Description
The videos need to be adapted from existing longer-form footage we provide. The final deliverables must meet strict Google Ads specifications for length and resolution, and be produced in both landscape and portrait orientations.
Objective:
To produce concise, attention-grabbing video ads that promote our pet containment solutions (invisible fences for dogs and cats), drive traffic to our website, and generate enquiries.
Source Material:
We will provide access to two longer promotional videos showcasing our invisible dog fence systems. We also have a customer testimonial image that we would like adding into the video and we can provide other images as required. Your task will be to extract and edit compelling segments from this footage to create the specified ad formats below.
Specific Deliverables:
We require four (4) distinct video files, covering two orientations and two lengths:
Landscape Bumper Ad:
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
Maximum Length: 6 seconds
Purpose: Short, unskippable brand awareness message.
Portrait Bumper Ad:
Aspect Ratio: 9:16
Resolution: 1080x1920 (Full HD Vertical)
Maximum Length: 6 seconds
Purpose: Immersive, full-screen mobile brand awareness.
Landscape Short Ad:
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
Maximum Length: 15 seconds
Purpose: Delivers a slightly more complete message with a clear call-to-action.
Portrait Short Ad:
Aspect Ratio: 9:16
Resolution: 1080x1920 (Full HD Vertical)
Maximum Length: 15 seconds
Purpose: Immersive, full-screen mobile ad with a clear call-to-action.
Technical Requirements:
File Format: MP4
Video Codec: H.264
Audio Codec: AAC
Frame Rate: Maintain native frame rate of source material (e.g., 24fps, 25fps, 30fps).
Audio: Clear, professional audio levels suitable for advertising.
Content & Creative Guidelines:
Target Audience: UK dog and cat owners.
Core Message: Focus on pet safety, freedom, and effective containment provided by our systems. Emphasise peace of mind for owners.
Key Selling Points:
Secure containment for both dogs and cats.
Freedom for pets within safe boundaries.
Solutions for challenging properties (slopes, large gardens).
Professional installation & support.
Call to Action (CTA):
For 6-second bumpers: Simple brand recall or website hint (e.g., "DogFence.co.uk").
For 15-second ads: Clear, actionable CTA (e.g., "Visit DogFence.co.uk", "Get a Free Quote", "Learn More").
Branding:
Integrate our logo
Use brand colors for any text overlays or graphic elements.
Any text overlays should be concise and easily readable.
Our website URL (DogFence.co.uk) should be visible and prominent towards the end of all videos.
Tone & Style: Professional, trustworthy, empathetic, positive, and action-oriented. The visuals should be clean, clear, and visually appealing.
Emphasis: Highlight the benefits for both dog and cat owners where possible through visuals or subtle text.

Hey Sam,
Could you please clarify some of my queries so that I can deliver exactly what you are looking for:
- Could you clarify which platform(s) the ads will be primarily deployed on (YouTube In-Stream vs Display Network) — so I can optimize pacing, CTA timing, and opening hooks accordingly?
- Are there any existing video ad performance insights (CTR, view rate, conversions, etc.) that I should be aware of to avoid past pitfalls or double down on what worked?
- Would you prefer each of the four videos to feature unique messaging angles (e.g., one emotional, one product-focused, one testimonial-based), or should all variants carry a consistent narrative?
- Does the provided footage include enough pet owner testimonials or reaction shots to humanize the ad, or would you like me to supplement with royalty-free emotional B-roll of owners and pets?
- Should the 6-second bumpers be designed as standalone brand awareness ads or as part of a retargeting sequence following the 15s ads?
- Would you like a motion graphic intro/outro animation with the DogFence.co.uk logo for brand reinforcement across all placements?
- Given the short attention span on mobile, should we consider using onscreen text as the first frame hook (e.g. “Worried your dog might run off again?”) to instantly grab attention before VO or visuals load?
Thank You! -

Are there specific performance benchmarks you’re hoping to hit with these ads CTR, lead volume, etc.?
Should the testimonial image be a static overlay or animated for engagement?
Do you have preferred colors/fonts for text overlays, or should I extract them from your site?
Is there a particular vibe you want to avoid,e.g., too corporate, too salesy?
