64 jpg images to crop and convert to a single pdf

I have an old type-script here in the form of over sixty jpeg photographs. I need to convert these to a single pdf document (in page order) but also for each image to have the black edge surround from the photograph removed creating the impression of a 64 - A4 page pdf document.
