Description
Experience Level: Expert
Tricky one this as we're after something a bit unusual, so only apply if you meet ALL of these criteria, thanks!
We need a one hour (final product) voice over which we will use behind a slide show (e.g. powerpoint). All we want from you is the voice, of course. The final product is educational - explaining some simpe principles of the subject (it's not a technical or hard subject. Think 'how to improve your concentration' sort of thing). Here's the important bit. We want an OLDER (50yo minimum) MALE voiceover who can read English perfectly, who speaks English clearly but with a pronounced Far East accent, preferably Chinese, but the western ear is not good at discerning subtleties in these accents, so Japanese or Korean etc is also fine. (It all sounds the same to us, lol!). I'd need to hear a paragraph or so read out before awarding the job. Think 'Ancient Japanese/Chinese martial arts master' and that's the sort of feel we want from the voiceover.
Update: We have had 2 or 3 applications from voiceover artists who are impersonating a Chinese accent. They're all quite good but we would prefer the genuine thing. Also, your spoken english should be very good. Some of the applications are from people whose spoken English is 'ok' but not great. I hope that helps a bit - a tough one this!
