    Could you clarify what you mean by "maintaining consistency across both platforms"? Are you looking to use the XML feed from PF to update your website? This would only allow one-way updates from PF to your private website. If you need updates to go in both directions, an XML feed may not be ideal. Instead, their API service can be used to enable two-way updates by developing the necessary scripts.
