Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
General information for the website: Geotechnical Engineering Company
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Num. of web pages/modules: 7
Description of every page/module: - Home page
- About - Content will be provided
- Services - Content will be provided
- Portfolio - The customer would like to show-case their work by job-type. The portfolio needs to be editable by the customer in a user-friendly environment. I can provide the plug-in that is used at https://wolfwebpa.com/web-portfolio/ if it will help you. Each portfolio item needs to allow for up to 5 images to be presented.
- Safety - Content will be provided
- Careers - Short (less than 20 fields) employment application with field validation. Require a field for attaching a resume to be included in the resulting email.
- Contact - Email form with other contact information
Description of requirements/features: - Complete any forms that are deemed necessary by the U.S. government for tracking and paying contractors.
- I will provide a clean test installation of the latest WordPress in a test directory.
- Once the project is accepted as completed, you will migrate the test site to a new installation on the live directory. Both the test and live environments must be functional when you are finished.
- All pages need to have a consistent, responsive design that displays correctly in all browsers/platforms including tablets and mobile phones.
- All pages need to pass W3C validation in HTML5 with 0 errors.
- Search engine-friendly (proper use of headings and logical ordering of content from top-down) - 1 H1 tag per page, multiple H2, no H3/H4 before H2. If we strip out all of the CSS formatting the content should still make sense in plain text.
- 2 original home page concepts by 5/23.
- Subpage design concept completed by 5/27.
- Completion of homepage and subpages by 6/5.
- Up to 2 sets of revisions per page.
- You'll be required to provide all image source files in Photoshop PSD formats prior to completion.
- Answer any questions that I might have about your coding standards.
CMS and Admin requirements: WordPress
All site content must be updatable by business owners
Specific technologies required: HTML5, CSS3, WordPress, PHP, jQuery, mySQL
Extra notes: Greetings! I have a website redesign requirement for a national geotechnical engineering company based out of Southwestern Pennsylvania. We need something more professionally crafted with a hard deadline of 4 weeks from the time of your proposal being accepted. That said, I'm looking for a native English speaker so that we can avoid miscommunication.
The top end of my budget is $1500 USD. Please itemize the cost of each requirement and page so that you can be paid for partially completed work in case you are not able to complete the project per my deadlines and expectations. This is critical for your proposal to be accepted.
Competitors:
Moretrench - http://www.moretrench.com/
Shaft Drillers - http://www.shaftdrillers.com/
Hayward Baker - http://www.haywardbaker.com/
Nicholson Construction - http://www.nicholsonconstruction.com/
Brayman Construction - http://brayman.com/
Peterson Engineering (small company, similar revenue) - http://www.petersongeotech.com/
Goettle Engineering & Construction - http://www.goettle.com/
We would like the site to look a lot like Moretrench in terms of layout and presentation, but with our existing color scheme and logo which will be provided after the project is accepted.
Thanks for taking the time to review this request!
