Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: We sell personalised goods
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: Hi,
I need a Magneto software making for my website that is currently under construction. The software needs to allow the customer to…
• Select from a number of our products and personalize with various tools and options i.e. images, text, colors, layout options, sizing, cropping, rotating. All on a single creation page.
The software needs to allow us, as the administrators, to…
• Bulk upload a CSV list of customer orders which will include details and various product presets to Magento order manager i.e. SKU, postal address, customer name, email address etc. (These order details will have come from a 3rd party marketplace which we have already received payment for i.e. eBay, Amazon, etc.)
• Auto-email specified customers from the 3rd party marketplace order CSV upload (previous bullet point) with a onetime use creation link that allows them to design their product. Upon completion of the design the order status is updated to awaiting dispatch within Magento order manager.
• Bulk download all images designed by the customers through the creation software, both via email creation and website creation (images named by a unique image ID).
• Bulk download all Magento orders awaiting dispatch with various attributes to a CSV i.e. SKU, postal address, unique image ID, order no, customer name etc.
• Note 1.1: At this point all orders awaiting dispatch will be sent to production and a CSV will be re-uploaded to Magento order manager to update the orders status’ to ‘In Production’.
• Note 1.2: during this process, the order No. barcode will be attached to the product.
• Sync a barcode scanner to Magento’s order manager and upon scanning the orders order No. barcode, a display of the ordered product is presented on screen and various order status options are available i.e. dispatched, reject ect.
• Note 2.1: If ‘Dispatch’ was chosen, the address label would automatically be printed off and the order status would be changed.
Description of requirements/features: • An organized CSV of product data from our 3rd party marketplaces will be uploaded to Magento Order Manager and merge with our website orders.
• Orders that are pre-designed (no personalization needed) will have the status of ‘Awaiting Dispatch’
• Orders that are personalized or customizable will have the status of ‘Awaiting Creation’ and a onetime use link will be sent via email to these customers. If a Unique Image ID is not supplied, the software generates one.
o Other specified columns in the CSV will tell the software which product and what pre-selection’s need to be made for the creation link.
o Once the customer creates their product the print image & proof image will be outputted in to folders, named as the Unique Image ID, ready to download and the status will be updated to ‘Awaiting Dispatch’.
• A CSV of all orders ‘Awaiting Dispatch’ will be downloaded from Magento order manager.
• Once downloaded, a CSV will be re-uploaded to update the status’ of the orders. (most commonly updating the orders to ‘In Production’.
• The Magento Order No. will then be printed off as a barcode and attached to every product and sent through to our production line.
• Once the products are in our approval and packing department, a barcode scanner will be connected to our Magento Order Manager.
• Upon scanning the Magento Order Number, the Proof Image will be displayed on screen and various options will be available. Some examples are as follows…
o If the product is declined as a manufacturer error (for example) the order status would be marked as ‘Reprint 1’
o If say this product went through the production line again and was declined for a second time the status would be marked as ‘Reprint 2’, Then in the rare situation of a third time the status would be ‘Reprint 3’ therefore informing us this is a priority order and must be dispatched.
o Say the event of a color adjustment needed, the status would be ‘Manual Adjustment’ and further options would be available to enter as a note on the order. i.e. “Image is too dark”
o If ‘Dispatch Order” was selected, the postal address for that order would automatically print off and the status would be updated to ‘Dispatched”
