I need an experienced OpenCart specialist to audit, fix and improve an existing OpenCart website. This is hands-on work, not just advice or reports.
Work required:
Full technical audit and repair of the OpenCart site
Fix VAT recalculation issues across products, cart and checkout - at present it displays the gross figure in the cart and checkout instead of Nett
Identify and resolve all 4xx errors
Rebuild the category structure for clarity and SEO
Backlink profile audit and cleanup (toxic link removal)
Core on-page SEO setup (URLs, metadata, headings, internal linking)
Design and build additional pages matching the existing site design
Requirements:
Proven OpenCart experience (essential)
Strong technical SEO knowledge
Comfortable working directly with code, database and live environments
Clear communication

Hey Rachel, Which OpenCart version is the site running, and are there any custom extensions or checkout modules affecting VAT or pricing?
For the VAT issue, is it affecting all customer groups/locations, or only specific tax classes?
When rebuilding the category structure, should we preserve existing URLs for SEO, or are 301 redirects acceptable?
Will I have staging access, or will work be done directly on live with backups/version control in place?
