Description
Experience Level: Expert
I need someone to rebuild my website in Wordpress (or a similar CMS) so it's mobile friendly and user friendly back-end.
My current website, produced with Umbraco: http://ilovemanchester.com
I am of course happy to change the layout etc. All I ask is the branding (typography based) is seamless throughout so it looks less like a template with a logo plonked on the top. I've attached my logo and current headline font (happy to change to a different serif font).
Websites I like, both on desktop & mobile:
http://www.wired.com
http://www.newyorker.com
http://www.vanityfair.com
Love the use of white space - it's clean but maintains excitement. I also love the integration of a video section, which is what we do as well as news/features.
Most importantly, when making the switch to the new design, is that I don't lose my archive of articles. It's been running for over 4 years now so it's big. And the articles have lots of shares etc so the urls of the archive need to stay the same.
I need this completed before the end of January ready to migrate and go live on my new dedicated server.
