Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Looking for a skilled web developer to create a dynamic and user-friendly website for my sports cards collectible business. The site should feature an attractive design, easy navigation, and functionalities like product listings, shopping cart integration, and secure payment options. Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and SEO best practices is essential to attract and retain customers. If you're passionate about collectibles and have a strong portfolio, I'd love to hear from you!
Project Summary
Home of Cards is a hub for card collectors across football, Pokémon, Disney, Marvel, WWE, and other TCG or entertainment categories. The platform will offer social features, community tools, personal collection tracking, set release calendars, grading information, checklists, and news.
1. Core Objectives
Provide a clean, modern platform that acts as a community hub for the card collecting world.
Allow users to track product releases and checklists
Deliver social style content on the homepage similar to a feed.
Support real time or scheduled updates for set releases, news, checklists and guides.
Create a scalable structure that can be extended to mobile apps later.
Branding and Styling Requirements
Use the Home of Cards palette:
Cream: #EFECE6
Red: #C0261C
Near black: #161514
Style should feel premium, minimal, balanced between collector hobby and modern tech product.
Although I will provide the design which is made by a web designer.
latform Structure
3.1 Homepage (Public Content)
The homepage acts like a social feed. It should include dynamic content modules:
Articles
Set Checklists (This will be a nice breakdown of all the players and teams that feature in a set. Similarly to what you can see on Fanter.
Tracker Tool:
This will track what 1/1s have been pulled from a set.
Grading guide
This will provide you with a guide on to how to grade with different graders.
Show Calendar,
This will provide you with a list of upcoming shows
I have attached a mock up of what the site could look like to help you out.
Id also like an auction marketplace function, where I can list a card which users can bid on.

Do you want this built initially as a custom-coded platform (for scalability, social feed logic, checklists, auctions) or on top of an existing CMS/e-commerce stack (e.g. WordPress + WooCommerce + custom plugins), knowing that features like real-time checklists, 1/1 trackers, and auctions may later require custom backend services?

Chaz Sir
To move forward efficiently, would you like the auction marketplace and community features built in phase one, or launched in stages?
