Who are Wintons?
Wintons is an estate agent based in London, UK. You could also say we are a “real estate agent” a “property broker” or a “realtor” but what matters most is that you understand that we sell very expensive property for very important clients to very rich people. And best of all, we do it very well.

The traditional model for an estate agent is an office on a busy high street in the middle of a town. We don’t like that model. We believe that what matters most is what you do, not where you do it. We love technology and we love being online so we’ve created a business model that lets us work from a website and work anywhere. For this reason our website needs to be amazing.

So, what does the Wintons website need?

Simply put, we’re looking to develop the best property website online. Not the most complicated, not the most difficult to code, just simply the best. It needs to look professional, elegant, prestigious and refined. It should cater to the wealthy clients we work for and it should be easy to use. It should look the same no matter what device the user is browsing with (PC/Mac/Laptop/Tablet/Mobile) and it should make people want to do business with us.
If I had to pick two websites I would love to emulate/improve upon as our inspiration it is the Bective Leslie Marsh website and the Sotheby’s website:

That is pretty much exactly what we want and need. A bar across the top with simple links and drop down menu, a bar across the bottom for relevant information about us, and the rest of the page is one giant, photo that changes. When you visit that website you know you’re dealing with a powerhouse company. And that’s the feeling we want our users and clients to feel.

So, what does this dream website have to be?
A cross between www.sothebys.com/en.html and www.bective.co.uk and if you can deliver on that, we’ll be very, very happy.

We need the same style of content at the Bective.co.uk website. We will also need a search bar at the top which allows users to search and view our properties online. They should display like this:

We need the same functionality and some type of content management system which allows us to add/remove/amend properties, including uploading photos, floorplans etc. The same level of search refinement. We are open to all suggestions, whether wordpress or similar.

We were heavily considering using www.placester.com because of the robust back end, but we decided to spend the money on developing our own, IF someone is able to do the job on time and within budget!
We will provide all original content and all information to go on the website. I am able to Skype with any developers who need more information and feedback. We expect unlimited revisions and a stunning design. If there is someone out there who can deliver but not exactly within budget, please get in touch and give us your suggestion!
