Experience Level: Entry

I have been able to access my site via domain.com/dev I have changed settings in 1and1 control pannel to home directory of /dev so I can access the site by just domain.com

However after making this change I get server 500 error when trying to access the site by domain.com 1and1 tell me there is an config problem with wile .htaccess.

I need someone fix this for me...
