Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am changing the theme on my WordPress / WooCommerce shop. I need some help creating a staging site so I can work on the redesign myself. I will also need help later transferring the new design to the live site. This would suit an experienced WooCommerce developer.
Details of the site are:
- 725 products (mainly physical products, a few digital)
- Membership plugin for a monthly recurring ‘club’ product
- Hosted on SiteGround (which has a staging sites feature)
How I foresee the project progressing:
**Step 1** – [Developer] Create staging site on existing hosting. Ensure that no automated emails are being sent to customers (e.g. payment reminder emails for the monthly recurring club).
**Step2** – [Myself] I will then create the new theme for the store. Add/delete plugins and update transactional emails (expected time 6-8 weeks)
**Step3** – [Developer] Update the staging site with all the latest sales data and membership activity. Then move the staging site to the live site.
If there is a better/simpler way to progress, I’m happy to listen.
