Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I work for a not-for-profit organisation in Australia that provides guided support for those caring for someone in the last stages of life, and grief and loss that accompanies it.
I'm the new tech support & ops person at the charity, and the previous head of technology has recently left. He had started the migration to GA4, but did not finish it before he left and he is sadly not available to help me finish it.
I am after someone to help me figure out what still needs to be done to finish the migration and finish the migration for me. While I know the basics of Google Analytics, I'm not confident in my ability to do this properly - and because we rely very heavily on the data from our Google Analytics account to see how many users we are helping, vs how many convert into an active call with one of our volunteer guides, it is imperative that this data is migrated over and continues to work properly.
What I do know is this:
We have two main websites that tracks data. Our main website, built on Hubspot CMS.
We have a a web app called Companion. This is a Vue.JS app, and the previous developer told me there are some custom events implemented in code.
Supposedly, Google Tag Manager GTM is set up to capture basic out-of-the-box analytics, and that’s been implemented for both the main Main site and Companion. However, Companion also has a series of custom events that are implemented in code, so they need to be ported over to GA-4 with code changes.
I will provide more details of this in an attachment, please review this before you provide your quote.
It looks like the migration to GA4 for our main website is 95% done, it seems to be tracking data, but I don’t know how to figure out which tags and events are actively in use vs those that are not.
There are 39 Tags and 19 triggers in Google Tag Manager, I don’t know how many of these are still active vs old and can be archived, and I don’t know how many of these need to be migrated, or what they are even doing.
MAIN DELIVERABLES
1. Review the main site and Companion app/code and Google Analytics + Google Tag Manager account
2. Migrate everything that can be migrated over to GA4
3. QA to ensure the data in the new GA4 account matches what’s currently being tracked
The priority is on the migration right now, but perhaps after, you can help me figure out what all the triggers mean so I am better equipped to maintain and manage it.
Happy to pay either an hourly rate, or a fixed fee but I would prefer that in addition to providing your hourly rate, that you can provide an estimate of how long it will take you to complete. Of course estimates are not always 100% accurate, but I need a ballpark, is it 3-5 hours, 6-8 hours, etc?
Thank you!!
