How should the shipping price be calculated like based on distance, weight, volume, vehicle type, fuel costs, minimum charges, additional services, or a combination of these factors?
Should customers receive an instant final price, or should the calculator provide an estimated price that requires manager confirmation before the shipment is booked?
Which vehicle types should be available, and do different vehicles have specific weight, volume, distance, or pricing limitations that need to be included in the calculation logic?
For the map integration, should users select exact addresses with map autocomplete, and should the system calculate routes, distance, estimated travel time, tolls, or other route-related costs? -

Alexandru,
Do you have any particular stack you want this built on or do you need advise on the best fit? -

I have 2 quick questions:
1. Do you already have the pricing/rate calculation rules for different vehicles and cargo types?
2. Which CRM or system should receive the customer inquiries? -

Hi Alexandru,
The calculator is really the heart of this project, so I’d like to understand how you currently calculate a shipment price. A few quick questions:
1. How is the shipping rate calculated today — distance, weight, volume, vehicle type, or a combination?
2. Do you already have a rate/pricing table we can work from?
3. Which countries or service areas should the route calculator cover?
4. Do you have a preferred maps provider, or would you like us to recommend one?
5. Which CRM should new inquiries be sent to?
6. Do you already have the branding, content and fleet images ready?
Looking forward to discussing further!
