Debug and fix web scraping script (Python)

i need to download hundreds of energy excel files from a website (that i am subscribed to). unfortunately, this can only be done one by one, so i have written some python (using selenium) to download the files automatically. i have got logged in and navigated to the right page, but now i need to target and click a download button which will produce a sub-menu, which has an element that needs targeting and clicking. my code is almost working, but not quite. i need some help from an expert in python and web-scraping. it may be very trivial and quick to fix, but it also may require a re-think in the approach taken, in which case i would require knowing the right method to do it. i would then complete the task, though probably with occasional oversight if i got stuck.

to those interested i will supply the code (two scripts and a json login file) and what i think the problem is.
