On the "Our Wines" tab, we need to create 2 new sections.

2020 Vintage
2020 for many Australian winegrowers presented a unique and challenging vintage. One characterised by drought, bushres and smoke taint.

The NSW Riverina region was largely unaffected from smoke damage. The cool nights and warm days were ideal for ripening grapes, and the lack of disease and high sugar readings provided the perfect harvest.

Fortunately, Hunter Chardonnay did not get as much exposure to smoke as the grapes are harvested, crushed and taken o skins early in the season, thus reducing the risk of smoke damage

Handpicked Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
The single vineyard wines produced by Cael’s Gate are made from 30 year old vines. This is gorgeously complex and engaging on the nose showing cassis, dried herb, clove and roasted nut characters with a hint of leather. The palate displays supple mouthfeel and fine texture, firmly
structured by chalky tannins, finishing wonderfully long and sturdy.

At its best now to 2032.

Handpicked Shiraz 2020
The single vineyard wines produced by Cael’s Gate are made from 60 year old Shiraz vines. Beautifully ripe and intensely aromatic, the wine shows blackberry, vanillin oak, oral and warm spice aromas on the nose, leading to a wonderfully weighted palate delivering succulent fruit favours together with fleshy texture and silky tannins, making it highly enjoyable.

At its best now to 2034.

Handpicked Chardonnay 2020
The single vineyard wines produced by Cael’s Gate are made from vines planted in 1978. It's complex and enticing with apricot, lemon zest, brioche and roasted hazelnut aromas with a hint of French vanilla. The concentrated palate offers excellent depth and expansive mouthfeel, making it opulent and deliciously satisfying.
