WordPress Plugin for Seats.io & Gravity Forms Integration

Project Overview:

On behalf of an event host, I am working on a predevelopment plan to explore the possibilities of using Gravity Forms for event signups and Seats.io for seat reservations. To ensure a smooth user experience, I require a custom WordPress plugin to seamlessly integrate these two platforms.

Channels in Seats.io:

1. Regular attenders (under 35 years old)
2. Over 35 years old attenders
3. Sign language needed attenders
4. Volunteers

Integration Requirements:

1. Embed Seats.io Seating Chart:
- Embed the Seats.io seating chart in a Gravity Forms custom field (drag-and-drop into any form).
- Allow users to select seats and handle reservations.
- Fetch and render seating charts based on user input and allow them to reserve seats from the provided channels.

2. Conditional Logic:
- Limit seats based on additional people added via nested form.
- Restrict users over 35 from reserving standing area seats.
- Volunteers can only reserve from a specific category of seats.
- Sign language translation users can only reserve from a specific category of seats.

Example Scenarios:

- If a user enters an age over 35, they can reserve seats anywhere except channels 1, 3, and 4.
- If a user selects "Yes, I'm a volunteer," they can only see channel 4 for seat reservation.
