Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
This project involves updating an existing Python script that relies on the Trello API to automatically process emails. The script presently utilizes the Gmail, Trello and Dropbox APIs to coordinate actions across these platforms. However, a recent update to the Trello API interface has rendered parts of the script non-functional.
Specifically, the script previously checked for cards on a designated Trello board to inform subsequent steps. The API modifications have compromised this ability. An experienced Python developer is sought to diagnose the impact of the changes and implement the necessary alterations for the script to once again integrate seamlessly with the revised Trello API.
Strong proficiency in Python and a thorough understanding of how to interact with APIs are prerequisite. The ideal candidate will have tackled comparable tasks involving API updates and script versioning. Debugging to pinpoint where and why the script is failing post-Trello update and then editing the codebase accordingly are the primary responsibilities.
Experience interfacing with the Trello and Dropbox APIs would be beneficial but is not essential provided the developer can rapidly learn new APIs. The goal is to have the script functioning at full capacity utilizing the most current API specifications, enabling the automated workflow to continue smoothly.
