Scrape Project using Python Language

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation of python code utilizing various web scraping technologies (Extract data from sports website and populate the mysql database that we will provide).
- Analyzing websites for optimal methods to acquire information.
- Parsing information into constituent elements for storage using python functions.
- Design and deliver solutions for extraction and enrichment of structured and unstructured web data to help improve the speed and accuracy of sports feeds data
- Develop and employ web scraping tools and frameworks for collection and validation
- Ability to diagnose problems or unexpected results and how to rectify them regarding website requests/responses.
- Update Firebase DB structure to optimize speed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Expert development skills in Python (Preferred 4-5 years experience)
- Experience working with Relational and Non-Relational Databases (MySQL, mongoDB, etc)
- Strong understanding of fundamental python concepts including loops, string parsing, functions, and libraries.
- Ability to adapt well to changes in requirements as methodologies are adjusted and refined.
- Ability to review output data for errors or inconsistencies compared to expected results.
- Prior experience with git or other source control software is preferred, but not necessary.
- Will be working with sports (MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAAB)
