Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
We have developed a basic React Native app that pulls content from a Wordpress website via the standard Wordpress API.
We would like to implement a Push Notification system so that:
1. Users can subscribe/unsubscribe to certain 'categories' to receive notifications.
2. For users subscribed to receive a push notification when content is published.
3. When clicked, the user is taken to the specific piece of content within the app.
The app will be published for both iPhone and Android. Is currently built with Expo.
There will be 9 different 'categories' that people can subscribe to from within a screen in the app:
Funding Opportunties (custom post type)
Jobs (custom post type)
Community Events (custom post type 'Event' taxonomy)
Community Training (custom post type 'Event' taxonomy)
SAVS Events (custom post type 'Event' taxonomy)
SAVS Training (custom post type 'Event' taxonomy)
Community Information (normal Wordpress post type category)
Community News (normal Wordpress post type category)
Get Involved (normal Wordpress post type category)
We are open to ideas about which Push Notification to use and are happy for a plugin to be customised to achieve the end result.
We would need work completed over the next few days.
Please only apply if you have done this work before, as previous experience for this tecnical work is needed.
Please also state in your response how many hours/adys it will take to complete as we are on a tight deadline.
Many Thanks,
