Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: php queries
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: Have been trying to fix my queries for a farm database work im doing but they still dont work right and two (parts B and F) I have no idea how to do. What I have done for update, delete andd insert may not be the right queries they wanted and im starting to run out of time. Help will be greatly appreciated a lot.
Description of requirements/features: A.Get the animal number, type and age for animals on farm number . using a selectbox to display the unique ordered list of values taken directly from the database to select the WHERE clause. Print the result to a html table.
B. Get the animal number, type and age and sort the result table by in order. using a selectbox to display the unique ordered list of column names to put into the ORDER BY clause plus another selectbox to choose the order ASC or DESC. print to a html table.
C. Change the age to for the animal whose number is . using a textbox to get the SET clause column value from user. using a selectbox to display the unique ordered list of values taken directly from the database to select the WHERE clause value. Check that a valid value is entered in the textbox using php. Return the number of affected rows from the update statement.
D. Delete all animals whose animal name is . Using a selectbox to display the unique ordered list of values taken directly from the database to select the WHERE clause value. Return the number of affected rows.
E. Insert a new row into the farm table using 4 different textbox value. Using a textbox on a frontend html form to enter each attribute value to post to the backend php file to the insert command. check that a valid value in each textbox using php. Return the number of affected rows.
F. A generalised RETRIEVAL implementation of the SELECT clause (any attribute can be selected) plus a Where Clause (in a SELECT...FROM...WHERE query). in a front end webpage use set of checkboxes to display all column names and allow selection of any number of the columns to go into the SELECT clause (at least one attribute must be selected). WHERE clause with the value taken from the select box. pass all chosen values to a backend php program where the query string will be built and run and the result output to a table with a means of returning to the menu.
Extra notes: I have addec a zipfile of what I have done so far and the sql database file
