Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi,
We are a startup and are looking for 1-2 people to help us finish a webapp.
The app is released but only for mobile, we need to implement a responsive design so that when it is viewed in a tablet it should have a map as you can see in the mockups.
Another thing is to clean up the code, polish the layout, optimize the resource usage, and fix some bugs.
The app is generated from JSP templates.
Here is a demo of the webapp http://bit.ly/13z7fnM
Skills:
- Nice person to work with and a hacker
- You are an expert in HTML5, CSS3
- You are a Javascript "hero"
- Knowledge of JqueryMobile and GoogleMaps
- Experience with web-design and good taste
- Server-side technologies (we use JSP)
- Knowledge of User Interface concepts and best-practices
- You are familiar with version control systems (we use GIT)
Features and bugs:
- Replace all the back buttons that are automaticaly generated with links buttons (like in the gallery page). Also implement the back button in the map view in the mobile.
- Load the gallery javascript only when the gallery opens
- Implement the funnel button in the funnel button (top right in the mockups) to select multiple categories on the map. Actualy the view to select the categories already exists but it is being disabled because of a bug.
- Implement the responsive layout.
- Show the POIs on the map that are in a JSON format (right now we are using KML, but it is not flexible). There is a JSON for each category.
- Some small layout optimizations in the POI view page (like changing the font size and button sizes)
- Sometimes the map doesn't show up (white page)
- When in mobile view a category is open in the the "Home" tab-bar and we press to the "Map" button the POIs of that category should appear on the map.
- On the mobile view the depending if we are in "Home", "Map" etc the selected tab-button color should have a different background color.
- Clean a bit the javascript, css and jsp/html files if needed.
- The title and description text in the POIs list should be 2 lines and 2 line respectively (not shown in the mockup)
- Icons should be Retina compatible (iphone4-iphone5, android with high res screens)
Mockup clarifications:
view 1) This is the first page after you select the language. When the width of the browser window is less than say 480px the app should be like the current one (http://bit.ly/1aaTaMj) but when we resize the map appears. Additionaly the tab-bar that you see in the bottom should disappear and the "funnel" button should appear on the top right (the funnel button should also appear in the mobile version when we click on the tab-bar button "Map")
view 2) When I click on the category "Villa Godi Malinverni" (or any category) the list shows all the points of interest (POIs) like in the mobile but they also appear on the map.
view 3) When we click on a POI on the list OR on the map this is what the user should see. It is also possible to scroll inside the POI details. When we are in the mobile on the map we just show the icon, title, a bit of description a link to go to the POI detail view.
view 4) This what the "funnel" button is supposed to look like, when we click on a category(ies) the contained POIs should appear on the map. There is already the page that shows this list but it is disabled of the moment.
Thanks!
