Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hello,
We need an improvement for horizontal scrolling HTML tables (of course, we're aware that horizontal scrolling might not deliver the best user experience, but in this case it's explicitly necessary). Some of our tables get quite long and extend over several screen pages.
There would be two options:
1) Our preferred solution would be a sticky scrollbar at the bottom of the table. As long as a part of the table is in the current screen area, the scrollbar should be always visible (and not only when the end of the table is reached).
2) An alternative solution would be to place a second scrollbar at the top of the table (see screenshot attached).
Our application uses jQuery Mobile 1.4.5.
Please don't use the JavaScript tool "handy-scroll" because it's quite buggy.
Your solution needs to be compatible with all major dektop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge ...). Furthermore, it should not compromise horizontal scrolling of our tables on iOS and Android.
I'm looking forward to work with you.
Best,
Ben
