Excel - Project Management Page

Excel page is being set up to be used with office 365 online or excel 2010 desktop. Each tab will ultimately be locked for editing except for cells shaded in green. With each tab building of of the preceding tab for a different user or purpose but sharing a certain amount of data between them. This is sheet will help manage construction projects, the personnel needed and involved, schedule, and tracking required paperwork.

This is the way I want to get it to work pending better suggestion.

Project tab: The is basic project info which I have mostly working set up. Biggest thing this accomplishes is which trade are needed and the skill level require. This info is linked and conditional formatted on the next tab.

VSG Recommendations: this tab starts collecting contact info of personnel. And allows for sorting vetted trade managers.

*Problem: I need help with. Each trade can have a couple of options for a manager. Using the drop down in column C to sort those declined or the one that is CG Approved. I don’t know how to get the one row of the four that is marked as approved to link or copy to the next tab which is the final project staff.

Project staff: at this point working correctly except for the goal listed above.

Schedule: I would like column B to be a drop down containing all the trade names from project staff A78:A120

I would then like to like to do two things with the info on this tab if possible. 1) see the event schedule display graphic either as a graphical timeline or a layout similar to a standard calendar. 2) calculate the number of people expected on site each day. For example, there may be 3 trades working on site 7/13/19 so I would like a grand total of the skilled and helpers for all three trades for that day.


I would also like to crest either an action button or an tab that creates action buttons. 1) email all people on the vSG recommendation tab 2) email all people on project staff tab 3) email those listed as project TOS as listed on the bottom of the project staff tab.
