Excel Project

Hi

We need a program in excel where it can automatically scan the bank statements in from a file of say 20 bank statements or particular place on my computer. (Potentially using the data function on Excel or something similar)
* Put them in date order in a set format,
* The opening bank balance and closing bank balance need to be agreed on excel and to the bank statements with validation.
* We will then need columns to be automatically populated based on what the name of the business paid to relates to. This might need to be set up as a separate excel page, so that it knows which businesses to put into which columns.
* We will need to be able to search information based on set dates, showing the opening and closing bank balances at this date and the transactions and columns for this date.
* We will also need above, however changed to a VAT column added and then the net figure going in the columns depending on whether there is VAT on this transaction.
* We have around 20 different companies as we are landlords, so will need it set up so that we have a separate excel file for each company, then we lock one year and then use the same excel file to create the second year carrying forward the opening and closing balances and keeping the company name, year it relates to and the page description as the header.
* The above will need to be fully automated with minimal human work, however a human will need to be able to change information if it is wrong.

We also have a lot of ongoing work, when the initial stage is completed.
