Extra notes:

I think it's pretty straightforward in that, I want to be able to put a month and year into a different sheet and have the data modelling start in the correct month in a different sheet i.e. I want to put Start Dates (Month & Year) into the Notes and Assumptions tab and have those dates 'drive' other sheets e.g. the Data tab

There are a number of effects that will be 'driven' by this date and as and when it changes the impacts will vary. I want to be able to see the impact, when that date changes, on lots of other areas too.

There are other aspects that I'd like to change too but this is the first aspect I'd like to sort.

    I estimate 2 days to do the script to pull the data from. and I day of Testing with you.the different sheets will have the structure as given in the notes under the various headings - that is my understanding.aot of efforts

    Hi Stewart,

    With Excel, some of the things you can do as regards time are:
    - format cells to receive input that will show up in a specific time format
    - add exact time-stamps wherever necessary
    - 'freeze' these time-stamps so that they do not change afterwards
    ... and more.

    Which of the above do you specifically need? Or something else maybe?

    It would be helpful if you could share the spreadsheet in concern.

    Yes, if the date format is the same in all tabs and in all places within the tabs, and if the structure will not change, an easy macro can identify and copy or transfer details from one tab to the other, if that is what's needed. Please confirm so that I can send a proposal within the hour.

    I think you mean that you will input month and year respectively in notes and assumptions
    then the data from there will be extracted and used to different sheets right?
