Developing a secure, confidential supplier communications portal

We work with a range of unique product suppliers and have built up relationships with them over the past 20 years. It's a valuable part of our business model and strategy. We want to deploy a company branded software solution on one of our websites, and that enables our staff to login and to send and receive information and attachments to one or more of the suppliers, but which does not allow our staff to have access to the contact details of the suppliers. The software would need a backend system where supplier profiles could be set up so that particular projects with each supplier could be allocated - and it would need to keep a record of all communications so they could be reviewed periodically. And it would need an alert system to tell a supplier or one of our staff members when there are new messages posted by either. The software would also need to be able to detect (and ideally) prevent, or scramble, any communications being sent which included phone numbers or email addresses. And to alert a company manager to any instances of this happening.

The objective of this project is to do what is possible to prevent our staff leaving the business and taking the supplier contact information with them to new employers, competitors etc.
