Description
Experience Level: Entry
I need a programmer that can write a scripts to convert CSV/Excel files into JSON files.
Initially we start with one file, the easiest, which is a one-to-one conversion of an Excel file to JSON. The small difficulty is that the Excel column names are different from the JSON dictionary tag names. It's just single Excel table so there won't be any nesting in the JSON output. Of course I'll support the column-tag mapping between Excel and JSON.
- There are about 45 columns.
- A fields can be a quoted text/string, integer or float.
FOR LATER
If the above goes well, there will be about 12 more JSON files that need to be generated from CSV files. The number of columns of these is smaller, only about 2 or 3. There will be the same mismatch between CSV columns and JSON tag names. As an additional 'complexity' this conversion requires some logic looking up row IDs in a linking CSV file; so it's a combination of two files into one. It's all rather straightforward, but you must be able to write a small algorithm to sort things out. The good thing is that, apart from column names, this more 'complex' conversion process is the same for most of these additional files.
THE BUDGET IS FOR THE FIRST 45 COLUMN FILE ONLY
