Seeking a concise digital noticeboard for internal staff to claim extra hours and overtime. Managers can post available shifts with date, time, pattern and required skills. Employees can view postings, apply using employee number and express interest. Managers review applicants in an admin portal, select a candidate, and with one click notify the successful employee and inform others they were not selected. System should integrate with intranet, be user-friendly, secure, and include basic audit/history of postings and notifications for reporting. It would also have to be hosted on an EU compliant Server as we are in the republic of IReland.     I have gone through the link you shared. One thing I'd like to clarify is whether the system should automatically validate an employee's eligibility before allowing them to apply for a shift, based on factors like department, qualifications, certifications, existing rota conflicts, or overtime limits, or whether managers should be able to review every application regardless of those conditions.
    One feature I'd strongly recommend is adding an employee availability and intelligent notification system, where staff can indicate when they're available for extra hours and urgent shifts are automatically sent only to qualified, available employees. This would significantly reduce managers' workload, improve fill rates for urgent shifts, and make the platform much more efficient as your workforce grows.
