Description: Hi,
This little piece of software is quite simple. We have an iSeries/As400 running DB2 database. On this database we have a couple of tables which store information relating to our accounts payable invoices. One of the fields on this table is a UNC path to where the PDF of the image of the invoice is stored:
eg: \\DAWNMEATS.LOCAL\GROUP\MOVEX\MVXOUT\AP_INVOICE\55\API000263999.PDF
The DB2 Database can be connected to via ODBC with a connection string like:
So, what we want essentially is a frontend screen where the user can input a couple of selection criteria...probably a from and to date. The application then reads trhough the DB2 table(s) for everything that matches the criteria.... checks that the object in the UNC path exists.
If the object does not exist produce an output that can be printed detailing relevant information (to be defined) that will enable the user to determine which invoices need to be re-scanned. All information to be printed will be on the DB2 tables being read.
Hope this makes sense,
Shane
