Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
General information for the app: This is an app which shows a selection of MP3 files to download, you select as many as you want and they are stored in the app. You can then play them back at normal speed (1x) or faster (1.25x 1.5x 1.75x 2x)
Kind of development: New app from scratch
Description of every page/module: Page 1:
Has buttons at the top for Library and Downloaded. Library shows all the items available to download. Downloaded shows all the items already downloaded. It defaults to Library.
For each MP3 it shows an image, headline and the date it was made. Clicking on this take you to page 2.
Page 2:
At the top it has a back arrow top left to return you to page 1.
It shows the image of the Mp3 selected enlarged, a larger headline. It has a download button, along with the file size.
Below that is a further text description of the MP3.
When you click on the Download button it gives you a progress bar whilst downloading and then once downloaded some new buttons appear:
Rewind, Play, Fast Forward and below that a progress bar that shows how far along the file you are. Below that is a volume slider.
On the right is a playback speed slider that goes from 1x up to 2x.
After the file has downloaded, where it previously had the file size this has now changed to the word 'Downloaded' and below that is a delete button.
Description of requirements/features: I will provide a link to a constantly updated csv file which has the following columns:
1. Date
2. Headline
3. Image URL
4. File size
5. Description
6. MP3 URL
The app should check for new updates to this file and include the new files if so.
The app needs to be able download and store these files.
It needs to be able to playback the files - with the option of playing at a faster speed - and remember where in the file the user was if they close the app.
Extra notes: I've attached a mockup of what this could look like.
I've never had an iPhone app created before so there could well be simple things I've missed out.
