Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Not sure
General information for the business: I'm a music teacher
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of every module: It is a random slideshow generator to teach sight-reading to students. There are two view controllers - one for settings and one to show the actual slides (or "flashcards"). It is a very simple app.
Description of requirements/functionality: It is simply a random slideshow generator to teach music. Very straightforward.
Specific technologies required: I need help with accessing ivars from various objects within the program.
Extra notes: I can get the app to run when all my code is in the view controller, but I understand that Apple does not like this method of working and requires things to be ordered in the MVC style. However, when I move the code out into separate objects, I can no longer access the UIView that I need to show the slide in the main view. I have tried placing the UIView property into a singleton but that seems not to work either. I'm obviously making a very basic mistake but I cannot see what it is. I just need someone to help me sort this code into a working MVC collection of objects - and also to look over my code and suggest any tidy-ups or other helpful hints. I am a first-time app programmer.
